We don’t always have to believe that every dark cloud means it’s going to rain. And so it happens.one disaster after another.īut it doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, it doesn’t only rain…but as the saying goes…”when it rains, it pours”. Almost like a self fulfilling prophecy, it does rain in your life. Have you ever had a time in your life, when everything around you suggested that there was going to be rain? That things were going to get really, really bad? And so, out of fear, you prepare for the dangers that lie ahead because you expect them. Otherwise, He leads me to a building that will shelter me. Many times, He sends someone with a big enough umbrella or a car to pick me up. My philosophy? If it rains, God will provide temporary shelter for me somewhere. So I don’t bother to walk all over the place with them. Other than that, I tend to just not take umbrellas seriously. For one thing, I find that when a real rain begins to pour, the umbrella is usually not enough to save me from it, because I spend more time trying to keep the umbrella from flipping outwards. I’m one of those people who keeps the umbrella in the car. But it’s the type of rain that doesn’t actually get released from the clouds even though all the symptoms suggest that it’s going to rain. Where I’m from…we call this ‘Pumpkin rain’. But I have noticed that there are times when the clouds in the sky get dark grey, and when you expect it to rain, it simply doesn’t. Ninety per cent of the time, nature is right. It’s nature’s way of saying to us…”Get out your umbrella!” Have you ever noticed that when it’s about to rain, there is always a dark cloud hovering in the sky?
